3-day President-Elect Training just ended. Our PE Aziz Ahmad, PE Maksud Chowdhury from the Heritage Club, and PE Shazia Alirahi of the Westchester Club were among the 300 participants from 6 Districts. There were workshops on Membership, Foundation, and Public Image.
International Committee Report:
The Zeal for Meal program is underway at the Rotary School in Chittagong and will continue for the month.
Membership Matters:
Every member is responsible for bringing life to the Club. When you take pride in helping others and talking about it, you create interest in others. By doing projects in your community, you showcase Rotary, and that way you attract members.
Find a local food pantry, a mosque, a Library, or a Senior Center, where you can provide some kind of service to the local community - no money need be involved. Bring some sunshine from the Sunshine Rotary Club to other people's lives.
New Business and Other Matters:
Rotary Foundation: As a contribution to the Rotary Foundation for this year, a contribution of $25 in the name of each member has been made from the Club. If you would like to give more, please do so directly on the Rotary.org website.
Our Director of Technology, Mehran will create a page on our Club Website on "Women in Rotary" showcasing the history of women in Rotary with the first woman President of Rotary in its 117-year history Jennifer Jones to take office on 1 July 2022. He will also create a set of pages highlighting the 12 Rotary monthly themes.
